Ezio should have been over and done with at AC2. They left a cliffhanger for Altair and moved on so why not move onto a new Assassin at that time. The new assassin could have embarked on a journey that would reveal to him, and us, the remaining details of two legendary assassins, or some idea they could have sparked up over the years. But no, two games in two years that were rushed and had so much potential caused the downfall of the series.
