I agree. In Assassin's creed the combat basics were better than that of the later ones. I like for example how you had to react fast and dodge when an enemy broke your defense, and how you would actually have to do a button combination to break theirs, instead of only pressing one button like in brotherhood and revelations.

Naruto: Do do combo kills you have to press the attack button and when you hear a "kling" (the sword making impact) you press the attack button again.
