It's possible that the scenario maybe more like AC1, with the Assassin's not taking any sides, but trying to find a way to end the conflict and find peace. That way, no one feels like they are being forced to fight for America, and it would allow for more historical accuracy. It's possible too, that George Washington starts out as an Assassin ally, but pulls an Al Mualim, and goes to the Templars. Or as someone else suggested elswhere...at first George Washington is neutral, but upon the continuation of the war, sides with the Templars. It's way too early to judge though, and we should wait until more info comes up.
