I personally don't really care much about whether he is a good, nice, patriotic American. Liberalism (supported by the revolutionaries) seems to lend more to the Assassin philosophy to me, but my point is: Ubisoft has told us in the Brotherhood Rifts and in the Templars' Encyclopedia entry that the Templars were the ones who helped develop liberalism, and up until modern times it is the philosophy with which they keep the capitalistic economy system running. So, the Templars encouraged and influenced the development of liberalism, then the Assassins started to support it, only for the Templars to support it again later? Or both Assassins and Templars support it? Neither make much sense to me. I really expect Ubisoft to explicitly explain this.
