Hello there, this is my first message here so don't crucify my. i too, think that the time travel theory is unreal but there is a way Desmond will meat Eve. in Genesis chapter 5 line 8 it says that Adam lived 930 years and died, while there's nothing written about Eve. i know that no woman's life span is mentioned any where but it is possible she didn't die at all. there are 3 possibilities: 1) Eve IS using an artifact while extends her life span and she continued living. may be she forgets who she is once in a while as a cost of living. and that's why Desmond stabbed Lucy - so she'll remember or make someone remember. 2) Eve used an artifact that froze her in time and Desmond need to release her. 3) she is an hybrid of TWCB and humans (the bible says that Eve was made of Adam plus bigger part of god).

i think the option of Eve being hybrid leads us to the possibility that this is why she can stop the apocalypse, she can use machines or powers humans can't. P.S. as an israeli teen ager(yeah... i am...) I'm learning bible at school and is part of my matriculation tests, so if you need to ask something about it or something related to Hebrew (not modern day politics and stuff) i'll be happy to help.
