I agree with D. Cello on this. There is no room to store it in the Vambrace with the Hidden Blade, Hookblade and also Pistol and Poison Blade (If he has them all). Not to mention, for a chain to be strong enough to hold his weight, it'd have to be pretty thick, making it impossible. Then there is also the fact of retracting it, it'd have to be like a winch, and I doubt you could carry that with you while you're running around. Having said this, it is similar to the Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood mobile games. In those Ezio had a grappling hook and chain which he used to swing across open areas. It was also used to assassinate guards at times, but it would be left attatched to the guard, yet he still had more, making it unrealistic and impossible.
