I was thinking of how moving around in AC:R could be more streamlined... and I was thinking.... maybe some kind of chain- grappling hook that's fired from the hidden blade. Maybe the blade itself, or the hook on the hookblade could be fired out on a short chain. This could make for some simple grapping moves in combat to pull enemies at a distance into your sword or a destructible object. You could also use it to grapple poles, beams, lamps, and rooftops to scale them quickly or to get some height in a pinch, and go from a lamp grapple to get off the ground quickly, then swing on the chain onto a zipline to ride it.
