While your speculation wasn't able to be true - because, as Sima explained, Ezio is the closest link between Desmond and Subject 16 - I sort of agree with you on the point you made. Generally, we come up with a theory, and someone - I think Sima is actually the most common - ends up shooting down and rejecting it - within the first three replies.

But yeah, if you don't like whatever theories we may come up with, you can just ignore them. Don't immediately shoot us down, because we may stop giving out theories alltogether - and some may even be so "hurt" - or something of equivilance - that they may stop editing the wiki.

All I am saying is, don't immediately shoot it down. All you're really doing is saying "No, your theory is stupid and it isn't possible". Explain to the person, in a nice way preferrably - why their theory in incorrect, and don't just tell them that it's no good without giving a reason why. Sima did that, by explaining, after your post Roma, why it was impossible.
