I think Ezio being the main character again is a smart move on Ubisoft's part. They left Altair's story on a cliffhanger in the first game, and they're finishing it in Revelations. If they left Ezio's story on a cliffhanger in Brotherhood as well and moved on to a new ancestor, then Ezio's story would need to be finished in another game like Altair's. And that we get to play through Ezio's story until the end is cool, since I imagine Altair's final memories through the seals are just going to be fragments.
