The I AM ALIVE achievement refers to UbiSoft's new game entitled as such. But Subject 16 may very well be alive in the Black Room as a set of repressed memories. Something tells me that the Animus was built with those 5 discs that sealed the device in Masyaf, which may also be the key to finding Eve. Ezio was able to relive Altair's memories through that first disc, so maybe all 5 are needed to go far back enough to Adam and Eve.
