I totally agree with you. the original game had that conspiracy perfect, that feeling you got after reading those abstergo emails about other test subjekts about all of those secret experiments that where going on and about this ancient technology left behind by what seems to be god. how it all make sense with the bible, Adam and Eves apple, the same device that Jesus used to create his miracles and assisted Moses to part the red sea. the conspiracy about the templars invading the holy land to find this artifact in order to create their new and perfect world.

I really loved that and that's the reason I loved AC.

AC2 had that conspiracy on 90% at least, how the templars now was working in secret and all the powerfull lords of Europe was part of this organisation and the pope being the leader was just amazing and then all of subject 16 videos about the templars and assassins fight all through history. yeah and the meeting with Minerva was kind of.. dumb, I didn't like that either.

and then it has just been downhill with assassin's creed since. brotherhood probably had the worst story ever and im not even gonna start on Revelations, but i can say that it ruined pretty much everything the two first games build up.
