Um, this is actually a reply to the guy saying the British were oppressive rulers. It's actually historical fact that while the Revolution was inevitable, the British weren't oppressive. It was started so that the wealthy could make more money. This is backed by the fact that considering everything that Britain did for it's colonies, i.e. fought in wars to protect them, specifically that of the seven years war, the colonies continued to pay far lower taxes than the citizens in England itself.
