As the devs said, they want to keep in really unorthodox (game setting-wise). So you must think as such... Japan? I doubt it, as there are a number of games that take place in both that time period, as well as that area. However; Japan, I believe is more of a possibility than Victorian England. Simply, because, whereas they are certainly very different, England and Renaissance Italy would be alike in yet a number of ways. Speaking of England however, One of my main favorites is in fact those Colonial days, possibly in the New World (North America). that would certainly be interesting. And number one on my list of possibilities, is of course, despite the comics, Russia. You very rarely, if at all, see RPGs based in Russia. Aside from the unorthodoxy of it, imagine running through Red Square, climbing St. Basil's, and leaping off the Kremlin. Just as well, It would be a very fun project for the devs, recreating old Russia ;)
