As Lucan07 has already stated, you are obviously not a very good player with regards to AC3. Not to worry, I was once at your level... you need plently of practice. You need to understand the routine of every Assassin's Creed, if you know what to expect... Everything becomes a piece of cake. Practice will strengthen your abilities. Take your time, it's really not at all confusing in navigating the Frontier or other areas of the game. Learn to identify where you are, use your map often, else you will surely get lost. Story wise, read the details on the Wiki.. watch some walkthroughs.. preferably by MediaCows, they're the best. See how others play the game. You'll get better in no time.

PS: I'm little more than halfway through to mastering AC3 combat, it's not as easy as it looks :P
