After the Revelations ending, the start of AC3 is bound to be suprising, although how I have no idea, we'll just have to wait and see. Of course the series will continue, it's done too well, and the possibilities are nearly endless, so much potential still. I'm very excited to see more action and gameplay as Desmond, him killing somebody besides Lucy and possibly other weapons as Desmond. And yay for the PS3 Exclusive side missions!
