But anyway so the game will begin with a bang? My guess is Desmond confronts the Master Templar from the Multiplayer who was sent to kill William. William likely is fatally injured in the scuffle then Desmond kills the Master Templar.

Though I think whatever happens begins the story something is missing that forces Desmond to relive Connor´s memories.
