Will the crossbow feature in the game or has the bow replaced it?

Despite saying that conner & the assassins are neutral in the war, why has every video apart from the Liberation still only shown redcoats being killed? Many people already believe that the assassins are on the side of the patriots now and that Aveline and Conner are on different sides.
