instead of Past Timelines wjy not the present and since Desmond's dead why not another character that has the same abilities to relive lives of previous predecessors, i know it would suck if you use guns.so why not have the option to explore present world and past timelines in the present you can fight Juno's troops and in the past you can fight templars of that timeline i would like American Civil war since guns aren't that effective yet maybe the protagonist is Connor's Great  grandson/daughter or maybe further in the past to find out a "Hidden Piece of Eden" that was buried maybe Eygpt timeline since the marks in egypt's pyramids has carvings of modern stuff so it makes more sense but i like Roman or Acient China better
