As unlikely as it is, Europe during the Black Death would be interesting. It could go all the way to the Peasants' Revolt in 1381. The King in that time could be a Templar. The Templars could have started the plague. The Assassins would have to figure what to do and how to survive. They could be in battles like the England vs Scotland during the plague. King Dušan of Serbia could be an ally and his son, Uroš, could be a Templar as Uroš was a weak ruler and could've relied on the Templars but got betrayed. It'd be a dark setting because death was surronding everyone.
