It could be that Lenin was Soviet Russia's Kennedy, a neutral man and his acheivements (Revolution-End of the Tsardom...) was used by the Templars to take control of USSR. Stalin was said to be paranoid and he killed all of the Revolutionary leaders, maybe in order to prevent them from telling the truth on his rise? On Mao, samething maybe? Perhaps a neutral? You say he was a close ally of Stalin, but near the end relation got bad and when Joe died relations between the red countries were near non existant. It could be that he found an artefact and used it for his own ambition. Darth is right, Deng Xiao Ping must have been a Templar because of the whole 'opening of china' thing.

And as said, communism was probably an Assassin launched ideology but it was destroyed by the Templars.

What is the most confusing tho is not this but WW2. Why make wars beween Templar controlled nations? Even if populations push for war, it has been show that the Templars have the power to influence opinions.
