This has probably occurred to most people by now, but I just figured out a likely scenario as to how Connor knows about Edward's pirating. It seems to me that Adéwalé likely told Achilles of his time as Edward's quartermaster, and when Achilles realised he was training Edward's grandson, he told Connor all he knew of him.

How convenient, no?
