This sounds really cool IMO. I wouldn't like the idea of not having a main game with a certain protagonist or in a certain setting because we have already have a side-scroller game with that character (Shao Jun) or setting (China) but if they still do a main game for example in China even if there is a side scroller game with that setting, I am excited about having more side scroller games with other protagonists.
