The thing that i think i has in common with revelations is that they both of the main characters motives have been lied about.

Revelations:

Ubi said that Manuel Palaiologoses would be the first good templar who's motives where not evil and that Ezio would in some form understand them and would try to explain that they where diffrent then he though or question his own motives.

ACIII:

They said that Connor's motives where purely for freedom/his own tribe and his alliance with the americans was only to help him achieve that. Well thats the way I thought of anyway. In the new trailer it appears that he is not.
