Hold up there, an anon just posted this on the Grand Master talk page. It suggest that it is not Ezio, but old Maccers who is in fact, the Grand Master.

Now, I'm not wanting to start another edit war here, but until we can get a definitive answer (i.e. the game coming out), I think we should be leaving both Ezio and Maccers off of the article.
