Tinting has always been a problem for me in Assassin's Creed. In the first game, Jerusalem and Acre had middling-to-strong blue overtones, as did Venice in the second game. I can understand Ubisoft wanted to distinguish the multiple locations better but 1) desaturated colours can make one feel ill, 2) it makes warm locations feel cold. I've been to Jerusalem, I can only wonder if Ubisoft's researchers wore especially dark sunglasses. The series has since focused on more realistic looking colours especially with the stronger emphasis on nature in the last two games.
