i realy saw those bits as an extention of their ability to see the future mixed with a lil fc science, having seen what des was gonna do and say, they encoded small genetic memories triggered to give their message at a particular sensation whether its the sight of a place a sound or smell etc. it is not really a conversation, but like when you get someones answering machine and the message tricks you into thinking they have picked up, your talking to a prerecorded message that cannot change depending on what you say though it gives the impression otherwise. the possession was done through the apple and the recorded commands in the vault, nothing to do with des' own dna as far as i can tell.

the whole TWCB/FC thing is one great mindfk imo.
