I too believe Altair is alive as i have said on another page, i will put up the two interestign parts of his last codex page which suggest Altair MAY well still be alive 'And, so i have begun to wonder- Might there be a way to stop- or at least delay- Death's embrace?' .... 'Still: faced as i am with the prospect of my end what harm is there in one last look...'

It does not say he will embrace death he also in the same page says how he fears dieing knowing that he will be gone, with no returnign in recarnation, or no haven and hell, etc.

I also stated that i believe he put the apple where it needed to be in order for the Prophet to find it, as Altair knew there would be a prophet, and so knew how he would get teh apple in order for this to happen, and altair, despite having children which we all know he did, has been hidden throughout the ages making sure the things that need to happen, happen.
