Henry Ford died 1947, Ransom Olds 1950, FDR 1945.
Stalin 53, Churchill 65, Hitler 45 were also listed as being Templar (not puppets) in the game. So they were likely to have been involved as well.
Harry Dexter White died was killed in 48 by the Templars for betraying Abstergo so it's likely he was involved.
