All in all, I just thought it was more rewarding to defeat Al Mualim than Borgia. After all, Al Mualim had the player's trust--Borgia did not.

It's interesting that you think Palpatine is a good villain...he's probably my least favorite villain in the Star Wars saga! I'd say Vader was an incredible villain, though, interestingly enough. It really all comes down to personal tastes.

If I had to pick a good ultimate villain though, right now it'd be the maid outside my bedroom door running the vacuum cleaner while I'm trying to sleep. Instead I'm awake here and posting. That's just pure evil.

Realistically though, I'd have to go with Atlas/Frank Fontaine from Bioshock (anyone that completely wins your trust and then just mind-controls you into killing your own pop has balls of chrome steel) or Pink from Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption (who turns out not to be a Cockney Brujah, but a Middle-Eastern snake-god worshipping traitor who betrays you, leaves your party and TAKES ALL THE GEAR YOU HAD EQUIPPED ON HIM WITH HIM).
