I'm picturing something sort of nifty: A small deployable blade on the bottom of your boot (Will Smith's boot(s) from Wild Wild West). and I've always had the idea of a blade, opposite to the wrist mounted ones, pointing back in the direction of your elbow, so that a thrust backwards could stab someone behind you during an intense fight :P
