That would be pointless, as we already know how the Codex came into possession of the Italian branch of Assassins. Marco Polo tracked the Codex to Kublai Khan and retrieved it... and Marco Polo was the son of Niccolo Polo, an Italian Assassin trained by Altair himself. Stroyline wise, there would be no point taking the game to Mongolia...
