There is more to African history than colonial slavery...

AC could go really far in the past and show the location Adam and Eve were (why they're mediterranean is beyond me). They could do anyone of the indigenous empires/kingdoms, across trade routes on the coast or the Sahara or it could be almost modern events who knows.
