EDIT: Okay, that was rude, sorry. First, all those things that directly mention Abstergo and stuff in non-Assassin's Creed games are non-canon for the Assassin's Creed series.

Second, MattPatt as always reaches too far and falls flat with those last few comparisons. Easter eggs are Easter eggs, references are references. These are not indicative of anything else.
