Connor looks kind of like Ezio did back in AC2 so I'm guessing even with their fancy Mo-Cap thingy, Desmond will look normal again.

If you look at the ACR cutscenes (outside the Animus, at the beginning and end), Desmond looks pretty normal except for the missing scar unlike the in game render, where I'm guessing they messed up his face when they tried to match it to Ezio's, whose face went all different because of the beard and wrinkles.
