Well, considering the combat system is more reliant on quick takedowns, as Connor won't be able to recover health and that the muskets could take a ton of health away, using the Apprentices might be more meaningful.

As well as this, having a big crowd of guards that Connor can't take alone would be more reason to use an Arrow Storm or call them in to take on the ones you can't get to.
