Seems like nobody got my reference... Oh well. :(
After the Toba catastrophe, few First Civilization members remained and the ones that did were as Kaloneous said, believed to be gods and worshipped. The last First Civilization thus lived alongside humanity, helping them with developing their unique architecture and cultures etc. The same was the case for the Native Americans just like it was for Europeans; they believed the First Civilization to be gods and didn't recognize their true origins.
