Still this series isn't meant for that. You want Bioshock Infinite for that kind of thing.

TokW brought up the concept and ended with that concept turning out to be false. Don't take that DLC too seriously. In case you forgot, it had a phantom/shadow character that talked with Washington. I like to think that as supernatural rather than the usual sci-fi. But its safer to just think of it as a hallucination I suppose.
