Desmond's lineage is special only because of the DNA of all the assassin ancestry from both his parents. Essentially, the fact that his mother and father descended from the greatest assassins. If they had another kid, that kid would have the same genetic makeup. As it is, desmond was anonly child which madehim that much more special.
