Well actually from a historians point of view in order to find out what happened to templars,assassins,pieces od Eden etc. we have to track events from past slowly in the future like a puzzle.Rodrigo Borgia or Pope Alexander VI had the staff in AC II and Tzar Nicholas II in the distant 21st century.What happened in the meanwhile?The answer is not anywhere before AC II.
