You obviously can't see the whole picture here. How many people do you think the Assassins have killed? Altaïr killed several people who probably didn't need to die, and Ezio indirectly caused the deaths of a lot of people in Derinkuyu and Constantinople.

Neither side is innocent of the killing others.
