Ghost127, you might want to watch your wording there, you kind of appear to be looking down on Crimson (not sure if that was your intention - I hope not).

As for the Assassins or Templars, this is how I see it.

The Assassins are admirable in their approach to engineering peace, by making sure free will is preserved. However, unlike the Templars, they don't have a plan as such. At the moment they are scrambling, small factions spread around the world that are just working against the Templars. They have no designs upon the world, merely "freedom", which is far too abstract to work in practice. If the Assassins were to win the war, there would be chaos and anarchy. Which means there's lots of potential for a world in ruins.

However, the Templars's approach to engineering peace, even if it's not all that admirable, would work far better in practice; they have no faith in humanity's capability to function on its own, so they would do it for them. As such, were they to succeed, they would sacrifice free will, but also create the perfect society, in which everybody works efficiently and there would be no conflicts, because the Templars would make it so, using whatever Piece of Eden in their possession. This is discounting the possibility of rebellion or corruption, but still, they at least have a plan for the world.

Anyways, this is a very grey-and-grey discussion, there's not really a right side. I simply believe the world would fare better under the guidance of the Templars.
