Showing only redcoats being killed is a PR control technique employed to market and exploit social media such as forums and other internet areas where groups of people/potential cutomers congregate. They probably sped up the footage so they could say they had shown it at one point but it was missed but they do not wish for the controversy and discussion to abate because it is great advertising and all along they have shown more british soldiers being killed in the main gameplay. More than a few reviewers/gaming journalists have highlighted earlier in the year that this was going to be a problem for fans and they would complain, this is one of the things that brought the issue to the fans/gamers attention in the first place (Colin Morierty being the most vocal proponent) and further highlights that IGN, gamespot and other outlets are actually a PR branch (for hire) of the gaming companies and not an objective source of game reviews and consumer benefit.

I don't mean to be a wise ass about this but I have read more than a few very interesting articles on marketing techniques for game development and this would be one (among many) of them.
