Well, I don't think people are pissed because they have to kill Redcoats. I think it is more about them constantly telling us how Connor does not take sides, yet they have shown no Continental troops being attacked by Connor. As soon as they show one or two random Continental troops being killed by Connor, a lot of people will shut the hell up and there won't be so much controversy.
