I stick to the Creed. It just feels wrong killing someone who's completely defenseless. In my later playthroughs, I even avoided killing guards unless it was necessary - because it made the game a bit more challenging and stealth-based while making me feel more "in-sync" with Al/Ez. That went on to inspire my Pacifist playthrough in Deus Ex HR.
