could be you are still in the animus, but the protagonist is really desmonds son. they talk at the beginning of brotherhood about memory inside of memories. where a pregnant woman had lapses in the animus, but it wouldn't explain why it happened wit desmond. and then at the end we hear voices saying "he's going into convulsions strap him back in the animus" this could be desmonds son who could be erudito. i also like the subjucet 16 theory
