Ezio. Better fighting style, as you can see from Desmond's imitations of Altair and Ezio at the beginning and end of AC2 respectively. Also, Ezio is a more delving character, as he has a true, comprehendable background than just "This is Altair. He is a master assassin. But he's a d!ck, too." Ezio also has the ability to use a variety of diverse weapons, and still succeed. He also has something truly driving him, than just religion or being born into it. Also, Ezio is AT LEAST on par with Altair, even though Altair was trained from birth to be an assassin.
