Ezio and Altair are blood related so it's fair if Altair is more cool, maybe Ezio's modern family like Desmond could take over. But in my perspective, they're all the same. Because even though Altair is raised from his childhood, Ezio will also get part of the spotlight. So, my answer is both of them are equal.
