To those who're unaware of what happened to God of War, GoW2's director Cory Balrog, who took the place of David Jaffe, the first director, left Santa Monica Studios.

They gave the new job as director to the art director Stig Asmussen, who, unfortunately, didn't quite focus on the story.

I've watched the extras of GoW3, and he pitched in the story the last minute, he didn't really thought this through. Now the story is full of so many plotholes, I won't be able to enumerate them all here.

Bottom Line: Story was reduced to rubble because of GoW3, GoW; Chains of Olympus and, unfortunately, the new director. Disappointing, actually, I thought the new director was a really cool guy
