In my opinion, I don't think AC3 will start off in America, but end there. Think about it. Desmond required a password for the vault in Rome. Wouldn't it be logical that the New York vault would require one, too? I think we'll start off somewhere else, France or England, perhaps, and eventually, one o Desmond's ancestor you play as will have worked his/her way to America in the story, after gaining knowledge of what the password is. That being said, ACIII has supposedly been in production since ACII came out. So yeah. Can't wait.
