Don't get me wrong, I liked the new mechanics but:
Not being able to use rope darts from horseback seemed odd? There could have been some cool 'drive-by' assassinations where you ride by some guards, rope one and drag till assassinated (a la Hektor/Achilies [kind of])
Rope darts as trip wires could have been good, we had corner cover (at last, here's to manual crouching in ACIV), it would have been good to trip up platoons of guards as they make a corner by targetting a barell, etc. I know we had trip mines but they were just exploding bombs and often disrupt you as much as anything.
The dual wielding wasn't what I expected when they said you could dual wield anything. I was hoping, firstly to have hidden blades and knives seperately, but more importantly to combine anything. Like going into battle and wielding the sword and tomahawk together or two knives or wielding the box in a more combat orientated way (using the arm to delfect bows, using arrows as melee weapons).
Also outside of what we were promised, I felt the hidden blade became pretty boring compared to Ezio's swiss army knife-blade. A blade that becomes a knife isn't that exciting when he has a knife elsewhere in his inventory
I know a lot of this is more fanboy than anything else, but I do feel they could have expanded on somethings (at least horse-horse rope darting!)
Rant over! ^_^
